How To Link Pancard - Aadhaar and Verify it?

Is PAN-Aadhar linking mandatory?

31st March 2019 is the last date for linking PAN card with Aadhaar.  According to Section 139AA, in case of failure to intimate the Aadhaar number, the permanent account number allotted to the person shall be deemed to be invalid. Last year, Income Tax Department had either closed or put 11.44 lakh PAN cards in the inactive category.

After the deadline of March 31, this may happen to your PAN card as well if you fail to link it with Aadhaar. If your PAN is not linked to Aadhaar before the end of deadline, you may still be able to file online ITR but your tax refund will get stuck and the PAN card will become invalid.

Yes. Anyone who has both PAN card and Aadhaar must link both as per notified by section 139AA. This means that a large number of people - senior citizens, students, entry-level workforce, housewives etc. who have PAN and Aadhaar both, but don't file returns will have to link the two numbers.

  1. Needed to write you a tiny remark to help give many thanks yet again over the superb concepts you've shared on this page. It is quite tremendously generous of people like you giving openly precisely what a lot of folks could possibly have sold for an electronic book to help with making some cash for themselves, principally since you might have tried it in case you decided. Those guidelines as well served as a great way to fully grasp other people online have the identical fervor like my personal own to figure out somewhat more on the topic of this problem. I’m certain there are a lot more fun sessions in the future for people who view your site.
